Harlech Castle

Harlech Castle is a spectacular fortress high on its rocky crag with panoramic views of the mountains and the Lleyn Peninsula.

Conwy Castle

Built by King Edward I between 1283 and 1287. This is a fine example of medieval Architecture. The castle stands at the gateway to Conwy town with it walls extending around the town. You can walk around the walls for free whilst there is a charge for the castle. Older children will love climbing the towers younger ones will need to take care as is steep steps places. Another popular place for school Groups with free admission during term time.

Bodelwyddan Castle

Set in 260 Acres of parkland between Chester and Llandudno. An ideal stop off on the way. There is the historic house and museum with a free audio tour available. It houses part of the national portrait Gallery and many exhibitions throughout the year. Bodelwyddan Castle also boasts large areas of formal garden and natural woodland and a really good play area for the little ones. They also cater for schools with affordable group rates, self guided tours, special workshops, woodland walk and an orienteering course. Open all year
