On the shore of Llyn Padarn Electric Mountain marks the starting point for tours into Dinorwig Hydro Electric Power Station. Deep in Elidir mountain is one of Europes largest man made caverns, home to a pumped storage generator which converts the power of water into electricity. The Visitor Centre is also home to 'The Den' soft play area, an excellent cafe and gift shop and also has gallery space displaying the work of local artists.
