A great place to take the children. The Anglesey Sea Zoo is Wales largest marine aquarium, nestling on the shores of the Menai Strait. With over 50 species, the Sea Zoo has re-created the habitats of the fauna and flora found around Anglesey and the North Wales coastline. They are also a good destination for education groups with guided tours, beach safaris, tank talks, lobster hatchery tours and biological lectures. The Anglesey Sea Zoo is open on the weekends during winter 10.30am-3.30pm

Bodafon Farm Park, Llandudno
Always popular with the children. a working farm at the Little Orme end of the Promenade, with panoramic views of Llandudno. They have lots of ride on toy tractors for the children to play on and a adventure playground for the older ones Bodafon Farm Park has a licensed restaurant, courtyard and function room, which are suitable for a variety of uses. Great barbecue, Weddings (including Civil Wedding Ceremonies), Children's parties, Barbecue nights, private functions.

Centre for Alternative Technology, Machynlleth
A Little bit further away but well worth the visit. probable best place in the UK for alternative technology. From straw bale houses to solar panels, wind turbines, water turbines environmentally responsible building, energy conservation, organic growing and composting. there are also plenty of hands on display and not to mention a very good whole food cafe. If you are thinking of doing anything to your house worth visiting here first. Although a little far from our hostel they do offer a schools programme which can cater to your needs.
